A) Public health is defined by medical experts. Legislators must follow expert recommendations when crafting legislation concerning public health policy.
B) Medical expertise is an essential resource for legislators when crafting public health legislation, but it is only one factor. Legislators must also respect the ability of each human being to determine what health means for them and how to achieve it.

A) Lawmakers should assume that medical experts are both accurate and honest. Medical experts are almost always correct and they are concerned first and foremost with helping people.
B) While medical experts have specialized knowledge, they are prone to error, bias and self-interest just like anyone else. A lawmaker must be a savvy consumer of information, especially when asked to accept its truth on the basis of authority.

A) Public health authorities create population-level recommendations which will always have the potential to cause harm to some individuals. It is up to legislators to provide protections within the law for these individuals when creating policy based upon the recommendations of public health authorities.
B) Public health authorities always provide sufficient protections for those who may otherwise be harmed by the implementation of their recommendations. There is no need for legislators to provide additional protections beyond those allowed for by public health authorities.

A) Public health authorities and elected officials share a responsibility to keep everyone healthy. The people expect this and have implied their consent for certain medical decisions to be made on their behalf.
B) Public health authorities and elected officials share a responsibility to create and preserve conditions which support people as they make their own decisions as to their health.

A). It is a parent’s job to make the correct decisions when caring for the health of their children. In doing so, they should rely strictly on facts provided by medical experts in accordance with the recommendations of public health authorities.
B) It is a parent’s job to make the best decisions possible for their children using a combination of faith, reason and their own intimate knowledge of their child. In matters of medical decision making, these resources should be brought into consultation with a trusted healthcare practitioner.

A) Children have a right to be protected from illness. It is up to lawmakers to provide such protection through legislative means whenever possible.
B) Children have a right to exist in a healthy environment. It is up to parents to create and modify environments in a healthy manner on their behalf. It is up to lawmakers to support parents in this duty by providing diverse resources and ensuring that a variety of options exist for all families.

A) When a parent places their child in school, they imply their consent for the school and/or state to make certain decisions as to their child’s health. The school and/or state has a responsibility to care for the health of its students.
B) When a parent places their child in school, they do not imply their consent for the school and/or state to make any medical decisions for their child. The only exceptions are in the provision of routine care expressly consented to by the parents and the facilitation of urgent medical care when necessary in an emergency.

A) Children should have the right to consent to medical interventions such as vaccination, regardless of their parent’s intent in this regard. While children do not have the capacity to make important medical decisions generally, vaccination is always the right choice.
B) Children do not have the capacity to make medical decisions. It is the responsibility of parents to make such decisions on their behalf. A legislator should never participate in an attempt to disregard and bypass parental authority.

11. As a result of pandemic-related public health measures, a generation of children were exposed to conditions which were indisputably harmful to their mental health and overall development. Social isolation is proven to be sickening and doctors have acknowledged an increased suicide risk among children during and after the implementation of pandemic protocols. Despite this, some politicians and public health authorities may still wish to exclude certain children from school and from meaningful social interaction based upon their vaccination status. Would you oppose any effort to exclude children from school and/or social activity based upon their vaccination status? *

12. In November of 2023, the CDC added the Covid – 19 vaccine to its recommended childhood vaccine schedule. This despite evidence of questionable effectiveness and an unprecedented absence of long term safety data. Millions of children are subject to school vaccine requirements which are generally based upon CDC recommendations without additional scrutiny or oversight.

Would you support a Congressional inquiry into the CDC's rationale and evidentiary basis for adding the Covid – 19 vaccine to the childhood schedule? *

In consideration of the extent to which our lives and our livelihoods can be impacted by the decisions of public health authorities, would you support legislation which would require full transparency as to the data and related science used to justify public health measures generally, and which would include, when appropriate, formal public hearings examining this evidentiary basis for such measures? *

Certain government agencies, educational institutions and private enterprises have demonstrated a readiness to use vaccination status as a basis for denial of rights, services and opportunities to individuals who are otherwise entitled as law-abiding citizens in good standing. The issuance of “vaccine passports” to those who submit to full compliance with all vaccine requirements is the model for this form of coercive discrimination.

Would you oppose any system of "vaccine passports" by which vaccination status is used as the basis for the denial of rights, services and opportunities in this country? *

15. Vaccine registries have never been demonstrated to provide any actual public health benefit. Despite zero evidence for their public health value, there is an ongoing effort to build these databases, including at the federal level. The potential for harm in the abuse of this personal health information by those who wish to achieve “universal vaccination” of all children and adults in the United States is now apparent.

Would you oppose any legislation which would create and/or enhance the ability of any entity to track vaccination status? *

Certain elected and unelected officials in this country are prepared to surrender a crucial element of our national sovereignty to the World Health Organization in the event of a future pandemic or other global public health emergency. Despite the obvious national security threat inherent in such a proposal, there are representatives who have not declared their opposition to this plan.

Would you oppose the WHO Pandemic Treaty and support a legislative effort to strengthen our ability to control global public health emergency responsiveness and its impact on our citizens? *
